The majority of our carvings are hand carved by Made Arsa and his family...

Each carving is painstakingly carved by his family and other local skilled craftsmen in Ubud, Bali. Many of the carvers all live in the same street and it is usually the older experienced ones who specialise in particular carvings such as horse heads, buddhas, dragons etc. Made lives with his family behind their workshop near Mas in the central region of Bali.

At Sassak we have always prided ourselves on dealing with family run businesses who do not factory produce, in fact most of our family run suppliers usually craft these beautiful products in their own homes - Made and his family are of no exception.
